I find having an online presence difficult to maintain. The endless sea of words, images, things to watch, things to avoid, comments, opinions, desires, makes the internet a a bit of an overwhelming place for me. 2025
Towards the end of the year I had the privilege of being nominated for the Inaugural Esquire Better Men List. Sitting alongside some far bigger names, the collection highlights men accross the arts, sport and culture who are shifting perceptions of masculinity. Although the list takes a slightly conservetive approach to the question of what constututes a man, I'm still very much honored to be part of it.
2024
Commisioned Artist - Design für alle? Vielfalt als Norm - The Museum für Gestaltung, Zurich
In 2024, Dis was commissioned by the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich, to develop an artistic installation for Design für alle?, a group exhibition exploring design, disability and the outer reaches of access. Our piece, entitled Night Falling, was an audio visual poem exploring the connection between disability and the night.
2007-2010
Lead Consultant - Good Growth By Design - Greater London Authority
In 2023, I acted as a lead consultant for Greater London Authority report around the value of disability and the disabled experience within the planning and development of the built environment. The report provides architects, planners and developers with a range of tools and ideas that go beyond outdated guidance and regulations to build a more creatively accessible environment.
